This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is written to describe how the app actually behaves, not to cover every theoretical case.
When you set up and use the app, the following is saved locally on your phone and nowhere else:
Some of this describes your religious beliefs and personal circumstances. Under data protection law that is sensitive information, which is exactly why it is kept on your device and never transmitted to us. This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in your Android settings.
Subscriptions. If you buy a subscription, the purchase is handled by Google Play and by RevenueCat, which manages subscription status for us. They receive a randomly generated app user identifier, your purchase and renewal history, and basic device and country information. They do not receive your setup answers. RevenueCat acts as our data processor. See revenuecat.com/privacy and Google's Play privacy documentation for their practices.
Feedback you send us. If you use “Rate the app” and tell us something is wrong, your email client opens a message addressed to us. If you send it, we receive your message, the email address you entered, and anything else you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem.
Nothing else is sent anywhere. Verses, prayers, affirmations, blessings and quotes are bundled inside the app, so reading them does not create a request to any server.
When you share a verse or your streak, the app creates an image on your device and hands it to the Android share sheet. You choose where it goes. We never see it, and the temporary file stays in the app's own cache.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. Because setup answers never leave the device, we hold no such information in any case.
Since your personal answers live only on your phone, you control them directly: view them in the app, change them in Settings, or erase them by uninstalling or clearing app storage.
For purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat, or if you have emailed us, you may ask for a copy or deletion of what we hold by writing to widget@dailybibleversewidgetapp.com. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version is always available inside the app under Settings.
